Orkun Mahir Kılıç is the co-founder and CEO of Chainway Labs, where he leads the development of Citrea, Bitcoin’s first zero-knowledge (ZK) rollup. Citrea aims to bring Ethereum-compatible smart contracts to Bitcoin by leveraging ZK proofs and BitVM, enhancing scalability and enabling decentralized applications on the Bitcoin network. Under Kılıç’s leadership, Citrea has secured $2.7 million in seed funding led by Galaxy and $14 million in a Series A round led by Founders Fund. Prior to Chainway, he held blockchain engineering roles at BiLira, Dexalot, and OlymposHQ. Kılıç holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University and is based in Istanbul.
