Jose Betancourt is the founder and CEO of VDEX, an omnichain perpetual DEX built with a focus on user experience, self-custody, and true interoperability. With a background as a trader and engineer, Jose brings a rare combination of market insight and product intuition to the crypto space. Prior to VDEX, he spent over a decade in financial markets and fintech, where he gained firsthand experience with the inefficiencies and frictions in both centralized and decentralized systems. At VDEX, he’s focused on removing those barriers—eliminating gas fees, simplifying UX, and supporting multi-chain execution without bridging. Jose is passionate about building tools that empower users without compromising on security or sovereignty. He’s also an advocate for decentralization that works in practice, not just in theory.
